Best biker line, the bathroom chick," How did you like it", answer, "Do you mean taking a piss?". I didn't realize she was getting tips. Did giggle with her for awhile though. Being next to the last person to leave, I must say that even in mudville all of the tribe (mostly) did a great job of picking up. I know that the people at the site appreciated it. Band Slam...........yeah

Camp motha-f@ckin' Creek baby! You'd right Murph, it should be a week long! Every year when I come back from this weird and wonderful weekend it's like I'm on some kind of drug for the the following week, I love it! It recharges me while leaving me totally drained at the same time! CPR was unreal, Entrain made my head spin, and Max Creek continues to blow my mind...The Recipe was great too, anybody planning on going to West Virginia for their thing? peace!

It was nice to finally get some sleep. I just read the last few days of posts and there are way too many people to thank to list them all but I guess the most important ones are you guys for having the best time and seeing all the smiles on so many people's faces and for all the support everyone gives to Max Creek in everything we do. We are trully blessed with the best fans in the world.

Well, I'm finally feeling a bit more human again today. What a weekend! As you get older, it really does take longer to recoup... damn. Good to see so many familiar faces, it's been so long since I've been to a show. John and Randi, it was good to catch up with you two again. Matt, glad to have met you. Funniest Biker line I heard was at the breakfast booth Saturday morning around 8:00, after the guy gets his OJ; "OJ, meet Mr. Tequila!", pours it into his own cup, and away he goes. Then later that afternoon, two guys are walking past our tent ankle deep in muck, and one says to the other, "Hey, how come we're walking in the muddy road when there's grass between the tents?" Cracked us up... As for music, what can I say? Hearing Crosby sing Ohio live nearly brought tears to my eyes.

One bad thing happened though. Sat. night after Creek I went up to the tent to catch Entrain and as I was walking down an apparently main walkway some idiot decided to throw a firecracker at me. It was about three feet from my bare feet before someone from far away shouted something and pointed at the ground right in front of me and low and behold there was a lit firecracker there just about to start going off. Needless to say I wasn't very happy, especially since I was so zonked out I would never have noticed if it wasn't for the guy pointing. And it wasn't even a colorful one, just one of those ones that makes noise.

Camp was great as always. Who cares about a little mud? It washes off with a little soap and water. Saturday night was great fun, even better than last year because....I remember it. yeah!!! For some reason when all those extra people were on stage it reminded me of Fraggle Rock when they'd have the celebrations and the fraggle band would play. I don't know maybe it was the lights or something.

Well I just finished getting all of the mud off my tent. What a crazy weekend. It was funny, at the rest stops on the way home you could tell all of the people who were at camp because their shoes and legs were covered with mud. It was great to see everyone this past weekend. Salty and Stace, Scott A.(congrats), Valchy, J. Wood, the whole Rochester crew and all of the new people as well. I thought CPR was awesome on Sat. Crosby rocked and Pevar really blew me away. I was so impressed with that guy. Not only did he stay Sat. and jam but he hung around on Sun. as well when most of the people had left. Like J. Wood said, real class. And he can play the guitar as well. His duels with X were epic. I'd like to thank all of the people behind the scenes that make Camp Creek happen, with out them we couldn't have all of that fun, especially Eric. And of course thanks to Max Creek, without them it's just a bunch of us standing around in the mud and rain wondering what the hell were doing. There is too much stuff to put in this post so I will leave it with this, Phil's Farm is about 1 month away. Later.

I'm not going to list everybody that made the weekend special, because then I'd forget someone and I'd feel real bad 'cuz as Salty sez..."I love you ALL!". Camp Dirty Butterfly, even when at official "Festering S**thole" status is a nicer place than work on a Monday morning! My little Subaru climbed out of the mud allby itself, with no trouble (other than the 20 minutes it took to start!)! Big Hello to all...Sufi, Salty, Steve, Mark, and...ALL! Sounds like a great time at Camp, as usual. Hey Slow Joe from Malden...e me, would love to hear your thoughts, what did I do to piss you off?...or bring it on over to our board for discussion, where it belongs. Hope to see all the Creek Folk soon...

I have to use this equation again: P-E-V-A-R = C-L-A-S-S! What amazes me was the fact that I cannot recall a single off-note whenever Peev was onstage with x!

OK now...HOW ABOUT CAMP CREEK 2000!!!!! Man....Musically, it was killer! How about that freakin' Jeff Pevar!!! Man is that guy good! It was amazing to see him and Scott trading licks and pushing each other to a whole new musical plane of communication! Whoa...thats heavy...but I think you all understand...HA HAAA!!! ALL the jams were KILLER!! Everyone played great and was right on the money. How about that "Bluegrass Breakdown" with Jeff Pevar, Billy and Mark from Sassagrass? AWESOME!!! Both days were just amzing for music. Not just the Creek but ALL the bands...Like CPR for example. How freakin' cool was that? I'm still reeling..can ya tell? Flipper Dave between CPR and Creek was SMOKIN'! Sassagrass's early set where Scott sat in on banjer for 3 tunes. Plus they got to play an hour and fifteen min longer than they were supposed to! Can't say enough about it, as you can tell! Then there was the Entrain set where Scott sat in! WHAT A WEEKEND!!! It was so great to see everyone and test our endurance together for rain and mud once again. Thanks to Sufi, Melissa and Pickle for ALL the work you grogs did ALL around. The stage, the campground, the M*A*S*H style sign post, EVERY THING!! Glenn and Jill, you guys are AWESOME!! It was great camping with you both. You guys did a great job on everything too. The wooden painted people were very cool and your "mote" around you're camper gets an A+. HA HAAA!!!! Scott A and Kristin...always a pleasure to hang with you two. Also very nice to hang with Mom A!! And of course the rest of my homies...you all know who you are. I LOVE YOU GUYS...You all are the best!! Pure gold on the inside and a small bit of mud on the outside!! HA HAAAA!!!! Hope everyone got home safe and remember (as if you could forget) I LOVE YOU ALL!!!!!!!!!!

Hey now! Just want to say Thanx for a wonderful weekend! Hope everyone is dry and healthy following the rainiest Camp Creek that I've ever experienced! Thanx goes out to the band, vendors and especially the bikers for having us! It was my 6th Camp Creek in a row and I don't plan on breaking the streak any time soon! Also want to say hello to Mary Ellen! It was great to see you and hang w/ you! Email me sometime! As always, the music was great, especially with the addition of Crosby, Peavar, and Raymond! All the great music made me forget about the rain! Looks like Wormtown will be my next Creek gig! Hope to get some better weather for that! I love you all! PEACE!!

Wow. man, i had a blast. sorry to all those i didn't say howdy to. I brought my 20 month old Cassidy and she kept me pretty busy. If anyone was wondering, I was the dude in the SPAM shirt carrying around or running after the cute little girl in the trash bag poncho. ;-) It was great to see ya jwood, steve, deb, sk (for a second) and everyone else up at jwood's restaraunt. man, it was muddy but fun. Cassidy had the best time jumping in the mud. MUD! My wife is going to kill me when she sees those sneakers. heehee. well, it was a beautiful time and i know next year is going to be even better. invite Peev back. Him and x blend so well together. Peace all and see ya around.

have I died and gone to heaven? Or have I just been at Camp Creek? I have been released. First I'd love to thank Pickle and Melissa for taking such good care of me. We may as well invited someone to sleep in the Nomad since we were so snug as butterflies in a coocoon can be in the van. Miss... I CAN'T BELIEVE WE DRANK THE WHOOOOOOOLE BAAAAAG!!! A toast to EVERYONE at One Dirty Flipper Love Butterfly Hanger. You all ROCK. I love you dearly. Despite trenches, mud, rain, unexpected waterfalls, you kept the love alive. It felt so good to be there. I miss you a lot. Thanks girls for helping with the stage... and you too chris. To the Men of Max Creek. NIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIICE! Thanks for filling my cup. I think I jiggled most of it out. The thrilling harmonies of Mr Crosby and Mr Pevar. HAHAHAAAAAA and how bout that Pevar dude... I think we have a new member of the family! Woo HOO! The energy there was tooooooootally MUGASMIC in every way. Thank you. I hope everyone made it home with out too many problems. We're off to the great white north. Canada bound! The butterfly tour continues. Next stop... Illahee. See ya!

hmmm, jwood, sometimes when i watch the news or hear things like you just "said", i wish the right thing to do was to pull a BIG bubble over my head and pretend like it's all fun and beautiful in this world, and the really unfortunate sad thing is, i guess it's not. that's why i wish i went this weekend, although that bit of info may have made me think, but camp creek is supposed to be a bubbble.

Any discussion about this weekend would not be complete without the news of one downer incident. Two longtime friends of mine from Rochester brought their children to camp. On Saturday, a male loser who had apparently snuck into Indian Lookout approached their 6 year-old son and offered drugs to him. Fortunately, the couple kept walkie talkies on them, as after the loser went away, he came back *twice* and harassed the mother. Thankfully, one of their friends grabbed one of the largest guys from security, who caught the loser and threw him out. Other than that, the atmosphere (besides wet) was mostly mellow, but it's sad that there are such sick people in this world!

flood plain doesn't quite do it justice, there were tents floating in 6 inches of water somewhere between my camp and the stage area. I saw a few cars buried up to the axles. We actually had a dry camp (well comparably) but going back to it after saturdays music ended was a trip.... hehehe Peace

Hi Stevie. Let me explain the lineage: AUDMC>C>C>CD>DPC means this was an Audience recording mastered on cassette, then spun onto another cassette, from which is was spun onto another cassette. That was my copy which I converted to CD. The analog I am Miracling was recorded from the CD thru a digital processing cassette system, which theoretically corrects for generational loss from copying. The amount of generational loss that would occur from a CD is fairly insignificant anyway, but this machine reduces it further. Other than that, I am handsome. Carry on.

candy, it's all an emminence front, a put on, i've been camping all my life, i was abandoned as a child and had to fend for myself so i simply set up camp in the woods and hunted & fished for all my meals, i've never had electricity or indoor plumbing, in fact, i live in a small lean-to even now when i can afford much better, i like roughing it!

I remember a warm weekend a couple years ago back in '98 when skydivers floated to earth and I played footsack to the sounds of the Hookah and the St. Catherine Street Jug Band and subsisted off a case of Rolling Rock because we forgot our cooler of food. I remember the night Deep Banana Blackout played in the barn and saw the unfortunate man who drank the confetti drink spiked with L and lost his shit...and tried to find it in the latrine. I remember the drum circles and the dancing prancing girl who looked so serene as she went through the crowd. Ahhh... Well, a year later a friend gave me a Relix (Vol. 25, No.6 Dec. '98) and I found myself smackdab in a crowd photo! (Pg. 32...if ya gots it look for the letter 'e'...iz me) Never thought I'd be fortunate enough to make a Relix. Well, I will be returning back to familiar sights and seeing familiar faces...see ya there and lotsa love to ya all!

glass croquet mallets? c'mon. I really like Max Creek, and I hope they achieve all the success they so richly deserve, so I'm really glad that there are thousands of people who have no problem with allowing a bunch of bikers to paw through their personal belongings. uj, you have mail. Think they'd wanna confiscate a ceramic flower planter? Davey tends to think so...and just for the record...in my opinion, the search is for completley justified reasons. So no one gets hurt...last year they wouldn't even let me bring in the croquet mallets. That was a little too much though..."they could be used as weapons"...so couldn't tent steaks or a mountain bike for that mattah! See all you fine people in the morning!!

When a bunch of bikers complain about cops searching them, but then go ahead and search others, they come off as monster hypocrites!!!! Camp Creek is GREAT, but not great enough for me to let them invade my privacy. Have fun. Peace.

talk about getting drenched at jones beach. the audience looked like a display of multi-colored balloons. my slicker was a garbage bag, and a plastic shopping bag tied to my head. with three layers of clothes mind-you, and it was only 60 degrees, but there was so much wind and rain.

Rain: If the rain comes they run and hide their heads. They might as well be dead, If the rain comes, if the rain comes. When the sun shines they slip into the shade, And sip their lemonade, When the sun shines, when the sun shines. Rain, I don't mind, Shine, the weather's fine. I can show you that when it starts to rain, Everything's the same, I can show you, I can show you. Rain, I don't mind, Shine, the weather's fine. Can you hear me that when it rains and shines, It's just a state of mind, Can you hear me, can you hear me?

We ALL have to rock EXTRA hard this weekend for "the Bear" Barry Seelen! He's playing in Europe this weekend and won't be able to play with us (The Midnight Sun).We all have him to thank for being at the Indian Lookout. And while your there this weekend, take a minute to thank a guy you'll never meet,Kemp O'Connell. He is the guy behind the WHOLE vibe of the I.L.C.C.We lost him to cancer a few years back at age 41.But his vision lives on.He created a place where we can let it ALL hang out and BE FREE!Thanks Kemp.See you at the big Rendevouz in the sky.

Hey Guys...let's all send good vibes & love to Susan...today was a very sad day for her...Tootie's gone. We all loved her very much, and some may understand just how special & important a dog can be in a person's life; they are always there for you and always love you no matter what happens... Susan shared her life with Tootie and at least had a few more special days with her this week. She knows she's at peace now, but the pain & lonliness will take some time. I will always remember Tootie as the soft, gentle, sweet girl who loved to be loved and gave such comfort & happiness to our sister, Susan. She will live in our hearts forever.

First person to e-mail me gets it, however, you'll have to wait until after next week as we are out of 90min blanks and we are heading up to Vermont to camp for the week from Camp Creek. Any how, 1st to e-me gets it. Is there a forum gathering place -- I haven't been here in a while. See you all tomorrow! :)
