Hi all!
Looks like we missed a scorcher at the Room last night.:(
However we caught DSO at Pearl St last night.They are spectaular! Although I don't really like the cover band thing;these guys(and girl) are the best I've ever seen at it!Any person who has seen and enjoyed the Grateful Dead or wishes they did owes it to themself to check this band out.
I should explain that they play a GD show in it's entirety and then anounce which one it was when they the show is over.(Last night was 1/10/78)

The snakes are NOT agressive at all. Thats why most snake lovers don't really want Ball Pytons. They are 3.5' and 4.5'and they are full grown. These are the perfect beginer snakes. They have never biten anyone and they love to be handled, so much so that I feel bad that I never play with them which is why I would like to find a loveing home for them.

So I saw the DSO tonight in Stamford. They are cool but it's still a cover band. The Palace in Stamford is great where else can you be dancin' and have a 70 year old lady walk up to you and say " Are People Smoking Dope Over Here?" Sounds like Creek had a great nite.

my 2 fave hikes are franconia notch (up bridal path, across the ridge walk, then down falling waters trail) or mt. eisenhower (up and down Crawford Path). both have been 1st time hiker approved! if ya do the whole thing they're 8-10 miles!! yeehaa!! then back to the campsite for a killer dinner, a cooler full of ice cold brews, and some silliness!!

hey all..spring is here and i'm getting the hiking jones...as in trip to nh to climb a 4000 footer!! i usually go at least once a summer with some hiking buds of mine and think a freak hike/campout on a non-creek weekend would be a blast...non-hikers and kids invited..you can hang at the campsite and swim in the pool!! usually go up on friday, hike saturday, go home sunday...e-me if you think you'd be in and we'll go from there....

i'm looking for anyone who wants to call me a hypocrite, preferably bfree.....as of today, i work for the government as a census worker. i get paid lots of money, including tolls reimbursed, bus fare, mileage, anything. i can even say i read for 5 hours all the info tonite and get paid for it. i probably won't read it 5 hours tonite, but they can't regulate it......screw the government, work the census, it pays!

haven't posted any baseball stuff for awhile, but it's STUPID COMMENTS like yours jm that demand a response, i find it truly amazing that idiot red sox fans such as yourself continue to run off at the mouth all the time about anything negative that happens to the mighty yankees, obviously it's very difficult to put a positive spin on anything the red sox do, as they haven't won a world series since 1918, but the slightest blemish on the mighty yankees seems to illicet a dumb-ass response from people like you all the time! the twins ain't that bad, they are playing .500 ball, but of course you didn't bother checking the standings to find that out, and they have 2 quality starters, that's one more than the red sox have, clinging on a couple of games over the course of a 162 game season is just really stupid, this is not football, baseball is a marathon not a sprint, and the yankees almost always win the marathon as evidenced by their 25 WORLD SERIES WINS!!! you don't think the red sox will lose to any of the weaker teams this year? sorry to digress forum friends, but the trash-talking jm needed to be reigned in for he is truly an idiot!!!!

I think the last dead tourbook was summer tour 86. It wasn't a book of tickets,as there were ticketron tickets for some shows. After Jerry's coma they started to ask for seperate shows in seperate envelopes. This way they could just return the envelope unopend when you got rejected. The first time I mail ordered was spring 86.

So I hit a bird while driving today, not just any bird, but a sandpiper...how often do you see those things? Well unfortunatley the first time I see one, I hit it :( By mistake of course, I just didn't slow down fast enough, but you know birds, they usually fly away. But then, in almost exactly the same place a couple hours later, I saw a HUGE TURTLE and he was sooo cool all covered in mud. I pulled over and talked to him for a while, he was very wise.

Good morning everyone. I have to agree, I kinda liked the security at the websta this time. They were cool to me. sk, I predicted Dead Pipes as well. That's an old tune they usually bring out when old band members are there. Oh, remember Ken Kesey and the Merry pranksters? Well, they video taped some of their travels back in 1964. Because they used power from the bus, the audio was all screwed up (fast then slow, ect). BUT, thru digital technology they have been able to rebuild the classic tapes and are releasing Episode one. Hey there all! Just got back from VA - seems I missed a great show Sat. Dancin'girl - sorry I didn't get back to you - I'll e-mail you and start spinning tomorrow... I had a similar experience at the Webster with some cocked chick -although, I didn't even spill a drink or anything - she was just wasted and pissed... she pushed me and I was 8 mos. pregnant! I agree about bringing drinks into the dancing zone - actually - when I go see Creek at indoor shows I don't drink (I like to partake in other things =) - when I can, which hasn't been too often since I've been pregnant or nursing 3 kids in the last 5 yrs.) Yikes-Antarctica? sk..i dont think its a hair thing with security..i didnt get frisked at all...for once!..i also have to say it was a funky crowd..i saw people blowing some kind of drug into each others eyes with a straw..people with filter masks on with something in them walking aroung..i had a girl pass out in front of me.lots of people power drinking.its funny the things you see and remember when your sober. im sorry to here that people have to get violent..but better living through chemistry is not always good for everyone..i know this personally. peace all.

The Millenium jam was an eye catcher starring: Sam Bush, Doc Watson, Tony Rice, Mark Schatz, Tim O' Brian, Jerry Douglas, John Hartford, Darol Anger, Mike Marshall, and Peter Wernick plus guests! Sheeeeww!!! Not to mention String Cheese Incodent is playing the Main Stage thursday night...they are also schedualed to play the Hillside stage on friday with Sam Bush and Friends!! I LOVE THIS TIME OF THE YEAR!!! Nuthin' like a wave of bluegrass to wash the winter "stank" off!! Ya know? I think ya do!! HA HAAA!!!! THE ROCK DON'T STOP...BABY!!! security at the underage door was alot tighter. They were emptying pockets and everything. Actually I emptied my purse in front of the lady (all 3 items in it) and she still had to feel my purse and look inside. Then she had to look in my other bag (which held a pair of moccassins) and move the one pair of shoes around. It was crazy ridiculous. But they got yelled at because it was holding up the line so much.

I've danced barefoot a number of times at the Webster, it's pretty gross but a 100 times better than barefoot at the Living Room. I was actually scraping the floor off my feet. It took hours of scrubbing to get them clean again.

Shoe-But it wasn't my fault. She sticks her beer over my shoulder as I'm dancing (moving) says excuse me I turn slightly and boom there goes her drink. The girl standing next to me thought it was the lady's fault too. BUT in my opinon (sp) ANYONE who walks by someone dancing all crazy like with two full beers is pretty much asking to have one spilled. Look at it this way. You're at a show and you have two paths to follow to get your beer safely to where you want to be. Path A you have to walk by hhhmmm, Tommy, me,and that tall guy Mike. Path B you walk by Buzz, and two random people that don't really dance all that much. Which path would you choose so that your beer doesn't get spilled? Path A where your likely to pass by people with their body parts going every which way or Path B the one with less movement and more mellow people. Common Sense!
